Bible Verses for Trying to Conceive

Trying to conceive can be a rollercoaster ride of emotions as you and your husband navigate the highs and lows of fertility. But did you know that Bible verses can provide comfort and inspiration during this journey?

These Bible verses can remind couples that they are not alone in their struggle and that faith can provide solace during difficult times.

Seeing how timeless words can bring hope to modern struggles is heartening.

Genesis 30:22

“Then God remembered Rachel, and God listened to her and opened her womb.”

The Lord remembered Rachel in her time of need. He listened to her prayers.

I remember the day I asked God to give me a sign that I wasn’t a barren woman. The next month in a worship session in my car, the Holy Spirit filled me with his presence, and I heard the word “open.”

I knew at that moment on the day that I was ovulating and that God was opening my womb. It was confirmed two weeks later with a positive pregnancy test.

The Lord answered my prayers after months of feeling discouraged. He can do the same for you too.

Judges 13:3

“And the Angel of the Lord appeared to the woman and said to her, “Indeed now, you are barren and have borne no children, but you shall conceive and bear a son.”

You shall conceive. A declaration you can state over your womb right now. Even though Samson’s mother was called barren, the Lord blessed her with a visit from an Angel.

There was a promise in the child she would bear.

For the childless woman, trying to conceive can be difficult, but God’s word lets us know that suffering produces perseverance. But if you continue to read Romans 5, it also lets us know that God will pour out His love on us as we develop perseverance, character, and hope.

Genesis 9:1

“So God blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them: “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth.”

God blessed Noah and his sons and commanded them to be fruitful and bear children. This is a direct command from Him to couples who are trying to conceive.

This verse reminds us that we must take proactive steps if we want to see progress in our journey, such as taking vitamins and supplements, following a healthy diet, exercising, and charting our cycles.

Luke 1:41

“And it happened when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, that the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.”

The moment Mary spoke, her relative Elizabeth, felt her baby leap in the womb. This is a sign of joy and hope through the Holy Spirit.

When you feel discouraged while trying to conceive, remember that God hears your prayers and can provide joy and strength even in difficult times. His love will carry you through anything.

Rely on the Spirit of God for guidance while trying to get pregnant. Allow Him to dictate your next steps on this journey.

Genesis 25:21

“Now Isaac pleaded with the Lord for his wife, because she was barren; and the Lord granted his plea, and Rebekah his wife conceived.”

There’s power in a praying husband! Isaac prayed for his wife to conceive, and the Lord heard their prayers.

Take this lesson to heart when trying to conceive: Pray along with your husband for God’s grace and favor in opening your womb.

Remember that nothing is too hard for the Lord despite what you may feel or experience at this moment. He will answer our prayers in His perfect timing.

Genesis 16:10

“Then the Angel of the Lord said to her, “I will multiply your descendants exceedingly so that they shall not be counted for multitude.”

This verse reminds us that the Lord will bless us with abundance, and our descendants will be too numerous to count. Our families continue for generations upon generations.

Let this be an encouragement when trying to conceive. God’s plans for you are greater than anything you can ask or imagine.

Hold on to faith, have patience, and trust in Him regarding your fertility.

Luke 1:31-33

“And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Highest, and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom, there will be no end.”

Our Saviour, Christ Jesus, was conceived through his mother, Mary, supernaturally by the Spirit of God. While this is beyond our own understanding, God works in amazing ways!

He can do amazing work in your life as well. Allow him to heal your womb supernaturally.

Genesis 21:1

And the Lord visited Sarah as He had said, and the Lord did for Sarah as He had spoken.

In her old age, Sarah conceived. While she was way past childbearing age, she gave birth to a son after the Lord touched her.

Maybe you’re dealing with a similar circumstance. Doctors are bringing up your age and saying nothing can be done.

Seek God regarding your fertility. Ask specifically for the next steps to take and break generational curses that come up when you’re praying.

Genesis 1:27

So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

This verse reminds us that we were created in the image of God and with a purpose. When trying to conceive, it’s important to remember this truth.

You are fearfully and wonderfully made! You are worthy of life, love, and all good things.

Know that you have been blessed with abundant blessings from the Lord!

Bear Fruit

God’s love is so abundant. He loves you so much, sis, even through the struggle. He desires to bless you like a fruitful vine as you wait patiently for Him.

In Galatians, we’re reminded of the fruit of the spirit. Love is the first, followed by joy. He desires us to walk in love and joy. He doesn’t promise we won’t struggle, but He reminds us that He’ll be there to see us through.

Seek Him above all else, and the Lord’s peace will begin to fill your heart.

Overall, the Bible is full of inspiring verses that can help couples who are trying to conceive. These passages provide hope and comfort during difficult times, reminding us that we don’t have to face our struggles alone.

Whether it’s insight on conception or signs of hope for breakthroughs, these powerful scriptures guide you better to understand God’s next step for your growing family.
