Bible Verses About Infertility

For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. (Philippians 4:13)

EVERYTHING. All things. We can do it all through Christ. He gives strength to those who request it, sis.

A fertility journey is when you need it the most. Believe me, I’ve been there.

During my two miscarriages, I had to lean heavily on the Lord for strength. But I got through!

And you can, too. You can do it with the help of the Lord and by the power of HIS strength. Just know that this strength is not something you muster on your own.

It’s a supernatural strength only provided by the Almighty. A strength that allows us to find peace in the TTC journey and be content in ALL circumstances.

Is anything too hard for the Lord? I will return about this time next year, and Sarah will have a son. (Genesis 18:14)

Nothing is too hard for the Lord. As Abraham was hearing from the Lord about the arrival of his soon-to-be son, Sarah laughed. Can you blame her?

At her very old age, in her 90s, the Lord told her in a year’s time, she would give birth. Think about that situation. Now think about your grandmother giving birth. Seemingly impossible, right?

Not with God.

There is nothing too hard for our Lord, and miracles still happen every day for women who are seemingly barren or infertile. Just recently, a 50-year-old woman gave birth to a daughter. Check out her story here.

Nothing is impossible with God, sis.

Just as you cannot understand the path of the wind or the mystery of a tiny baby growing in its mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the activity of God, who does all things. (Ecclesiastes 11:5)

We absolutely cannot lean on our own understanding while on a fertility journey. This journey is a faith walk.

We cannot understand what God is doing, but we can always ask for guidance along the way. Take this time during your journey to seek God and discover the unfolding plan He has for you.

Take small steps of obedience toward your purpose as he unravels the facets of his destiny for you.

bible verse for fertility

You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. (Psalm 139:13)

You know how long it takes to knit or crochet a blanket or a scarf. Well, let’s just say I’m still working on my husband’s scarf from 3 years ago. It takes time.

But God has no perception of time. He’s an infinite God, and he’s taking His time building the perfect family for you. Because that’s what his plans are, perfect.

He’s knitting together your child’s life just as he did yours. He’s creating all of the delicate and inner parts of your child’s greatest hopes and dreams.

You gave me life and showed me your unfailing love. My life was preserved by your care. (Job 10:12)

Jesus gives the gift of life, and life abundantly! He made the ultimate sacrifice on the cross despite our sinful nature so that we couldn’t repent and live an eternal life with him.

Just like you would do anything to have a child and to care for that child. God thinks the same of us.

Because He is the one who gives life and loves us so much.

For God does not show favoritism. (Romans 2:11)

God is not a respecter of persons. When scrolling social media or seeing pregnant women out and about, remember that God doesn’t show favoritism.

We all have different hormones and different situations that have gotten us to the places we are right now. We cannot control the uncontrollable.

We can only lean on God to help us and give us strength when we feel weak.

He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. (Isaiah 40:29)

Speaking of weakness, you have the power to be strong through the Lord. Women in the fertility community are some of the strongest women I know, especially those who honor God as the head of their lives.

If you are feeling weak, remember that we ARE weak and can only be stronger with the help of the Lord!

Isaiah 49:13

Sing, O heavens; and be joyful O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the LORD hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted. (KJV)

Galatians 4:27

For it is written: “Be glad, barren woman, you who never bore a child; shout for joy and cry aloud, you who were never in labor; because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband.” (NIV)
