Morning prayers are one of the most powerful and inspiring prayers that you can speak over your life. It is a way to start the day with the focus and direction you need to succeed. In this blog post, we will discuss the good morning prayer in detail, how you can wake up early, make the most of your day and provide you with a version that you can use each morning to begin your day on the right foot!
Prayers in the morning can be short, sweet and to the point. You don’t need to spend hours on them, but the words you say can have a profound impact on your day. The good morning prayer is a perfect way to start your day off right!
If you’re not used to waking up early, it can be tough to get out of bed in the morning. But, if you set your alarm for a specific time and then go to sleep with the intention of waking up at that time, it will be easier. Once you’re out of bed, take a few deep breaths and stretch your body. It’s important to get the blood flowing in the morning!
Once you’re up and moving, it’s time to start your day with the good morning prayer. You can say this prayer out loud or in your head, whichever you prefer. The important thing is that you take the time to say it each morning.
How Often Did Jesus Pray?
The Bible doesn’t directly state how many times Jesus prayed but prayer is mentioned 187 times in the New King James Version. What the Bible does point out in the book of Mark, is the importance of waking up in the morning and praying.
“Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed.” –Mark 1:35
Even Jesus had to go to the Father in prayer to be replenished after a previous day of healing and teaching through ministry work. Similar to Jesus, we also need to go to God in morning prayer to receive guidance and instruction for His desires for our lives.
He wakes us up each morning to complete His will, to build His kingdom, and to fulfill our purpose here on earth. We should pray in the morning each day for these things.
The Good Morning Prayer to Start Your Day Right
Dear Heavenly Father, good morning. I thank you, Lord, for waking me up today and giving me continued purpose. I pray Lord that you continue to work through me today so I can have a good morning but also that others who interact with me can have one too. Allow me to be a light to others in my daily walk.
I rebuke the enemy that comes to steal, kill and destroy and I pray Lord that you restore anything that the enemy tries to take for me today. I pray your covering over my life and over my day.
Lord, open up my eyes to your will for today. Guide me and give me instructions on the next steps to take during my day. I pray for understanding and trust in You as you guide my path today. In Jesus’ name, amen.

For many people, the start of the day is marked by a rituals and routines. From brushing teeth to getting dressed, these small actions help to set the tone for the day ahead.
For Christians, one important morning ritual is prayer. Morning prayer is a time to reflect on God’s goodness and to ask for strength and guidance for the day ahead.
It is also an opportunity to give thanks for blessings, both big and small. Whether you say a traditional prayer or simply take a moment to quiet your mind, morning prayer can help you to start your day with intention and focus.
As you begin your day, take a moment to slow down and give thanks for all that you have been given. In the midst of your busyness, remember that God is always with you, ready to give you strength and direction.
How to Wake Up Early in the Morning
Waking up early in the morning can be tough, but there are a few simple strategies that can help you make it a part of your daily routine.
Sleep: One of the most important things is to create a regular sleep schedule and stick to it as much as possible. Early is relative to each person. For me, early is 5:30 am but for someone else, it might be 7:00 am. You have to decide how much sleep you need and what early means to you based on that.
Night Routine: It can also be helpful to establish a bedtime routine that signals to your body that it’s time to wind down for the night. This might include reading or taking a relaxing bath.
Once you’re in bed, try to avoid using electronics for at least an hour before lights out. The blue light from screens can disrupt your body’s natural sleep rhythm.
Instead, opt for a book or some quiet relaxation.
Don’t Snooze: When your alarm goes off in the morning, it can be tempting to hit the snooze button and curl up for a few more minutes of sleep. But this will only make it harder to get out of bed when the alarm goes off again.
If you’re having trouble getting out of bed, try putting your alarm (yes, this includes your phone) on the opposite side of the room or in an entirely different room to begin with.
Creating these habits will help train your body to wake up when you want it to, making those early mornings just a little bit easier.
A Healthy and Easy Morning Routine
This morning routine has three simple concepts to include. They will help you get the most out of your day even if you only do 10 minutes of each.
Pray: First, start the day with a prayer. It can be as simple or as complicated as you want it to be. Just take a minute to talk to God and set the tone for the day ahead.
Exercise: Second, get your body moving with some exercise. Even if it’s just a short walk around the block or some jumping jacks in your living room, getting your heart rate up will help to wake you up and get you ready for the day.
Read: Finally, take some time to read something. It can be the news, a blog post, or even just a few pages from a book. Giving your brain something to focus on will help you start the day feeling prepared and ready to tackle whatever comes your way.
When you put these three things together, you have a simple morning routine that can help you start the day off right.
