In this blog post, we will discuss some of the benefits of morning prayers and provide a few tips on how to make them work for you. We hope that this information will help you start your day off on the right foot!
Morning Prayers: The Best Way to Start Your Day
A prayer is a form of communication with God, and there are many different ways to pray. Some people prefer to pray in the morning, while others find evening prayers more beneficial and time-efficient.
There is no right or wrong time to pray, but many people find that morning prayer helps them start their day on the right foot.
There are many benefits of morning prayer, including:
Allowing you to set the tone for your day – Morning prayer can help you start your day off on the right foot by setting the tone for the rest of your day. When you take time to pray in the morning, it helps you focus on what is important and sets the stage for a more productive day.
Helping you to focus on your goals – One of the best things about prayer is that it can help you focus on your goals for the day. It can be easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of everyday life, but taking a few minutes to pray in the morning can help you stay focused on what is important.
“In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths” -Proverbs 3:6
More Benefits to Prayer
Giving you peace of mind – Morning prayer can also help to give you peace of mind. It can be a time to reflect on the things that are going well in your life and to ask for guidance on the things that are not. Prayer can be a powerful tool for managing stress and anxiety, and it can help you start your day with a sense of peace.
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” -Philippians 4:6-7
If you are new to morning prayer, here are a few tips to help you get started:
Find a quiet place to pray – One of the best things about morning prayer is that you can do it anywhere. However, if you are new to prayer, it can be helpful to find a quiet place to pray. This will help you focus and avoid distractions.
Keep it simple – Prayer does not have to be complicated. You can simply say scripture out loud and ask God for the desires of your heart. If you are struggling to find the right words, just speak directly from the heart.
“Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.” -Psalms 37:4
Make it a part of your daily routine – The key to making morning prayer work for you is to make it a part of your daily routine. Set aside a few minutes each day to pray, and soon it will become second nature.

My favorite way to start my day is with anointing oil as I pray over my family (specifically my children) and my home. I find it to be such a beautiful way to start my day, connecting with God and asking for His protection and guidance over my loved ones and our home.
If you don’t have anointing oil, no worries! You can use olive oil or get your oil from your pastor like I did. The important thing is that you are taking the time to connect with God and ask for His blessings.
Here’s a simple morning blessing prayer that you can use:
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you Lord for this day and days to come. I pray Lord that you continue to bless my family and my home. Lord, protect and provide for us as we walk in a closer relationship with you. Allow your blessings to flow through us as we walk confidently in the purpose and calling you have placed on each of our lives. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
Daily Prayer Tips
If you’re looking for more ways to grow in your prayer life or in your Thursday morning prayers, here are a few tips:
Set aside a specific time each day to pray. This can be first thing in the morning, during your lunch break, or at night before you go to bed. The key is to find a time that works for you and stick to it.
Keep a prayer journal. This can be a great way to keep track of your prayers and see how God is working in your life.
Find a prayer partner. Prayer is more powerful when it is shared, so find someone to pray with you on a regular basis.
Join a Bible-teaching church and attend their Bible studies. This can be a great way to learn more about prayer and grow in your faith.
How to have a Blessed Morning
Having a blessed morning will set the tone for the rest of your day. It’s a way to start off on the right foot, so to speak. Below are some tips on how to have a blessed morning:
Get up early and spend time with God. This can be through reading His word, praying, listening to worship music, or worshiping through dance. Praise dance is my favorite way to worship God in the morning because it allows me to be creative and I can even include my daughters in it as well.
Start your day with a sermon. I love starting my day by listening to a sermon. It helps me to get my mind focused on God and what He has in store for me for the day. A great way to do this is by listening to YouTube or Podcasts.
Make time for breakfast. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so make sure you take the time to sit down and enjoy it. I like to make a breakfast of carbs and protein, usually a protein shake or oatmeal with eggs.
Listen to worship music in the car. Whether you’re on your way to work or dropping the kids off at school, take some time to listen to worship music and set the tone for your day.
Inspirational Morning Prayers
Another great way to start your day is by listening to Thursday morning prayers or Christian Lo-Fi music on Youtube channels. I like to put Christian Lo-Fi on my TV in the morning to guide my prayers as I prepare for the day.
There are also many inspiring prayer Youtube channels that you can listen to as well. But be wary, make sure these prayers are by someone who is living the Christian life. The Holy Spirit can help you discern this.
Morning Prayers with Scripture
Through the Lord’s mercies, we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. –Lamentations 3:22-23
Dear Heavenly Father, I’m so grateful for your constant compassion that is new every morning. Thank you for being faithful to me each and every day. Help me Lord to do the same. Amen.
Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed. –Mark 1:35
Dear Heavenly Father, like your son Jesus, help me to rise early to spend time with you in my quiet place. Help me Lord to lean on you in the morning so that you can guide each step for the day. Amen.
